Dealing with Stress
Stress and anxiety are perhaps the two biggest obstacles to learning -- especially learning a language -- and they certainly take a lot of the pleasure out of the process. Here are some different tools for dealing with stress. They can help you to be a better student, a happier person and to have more peace and satisfaction in your life. Many of these tools you may already be aware of, but I suggest you try something new.
- Stay in the present moment
- Get out and be around people, spend time with friends
- Breathe deeply
- Try something new
- Affirmations
- Body work - yin yoga, massages, noticing my body
- Take a walk
- Grounding
- Feel your feelings - allow the waves without getting caught up in it, don't over think
- Identify feelings
- Gratitude
- Talk to someone special maybe your mom, dad, sibling or best friend.
